Costa Adeje beaches in Tenerife

With 212.5 miles of coastline to explore, beach lovers big and small are well catered for on family holidays in Tenerife. Our nearest beaches are El Médano Beach and Tejita beach, known for their wide golden sands and excellent surf – this is the place to be if you’re into water sports. The soft-sand stretches found in the southwest around Costa Adeje are the most popular with families and just 10 minutes’ drive away from our Resort. With fine sands, sheltered waters, loungers for hire and chiringuitos (beach bars), Playa del Duque, Playa Las Vistas and Playa del Camisón are a few gems.

Gastronomy is another reason why people fall for Tenerife – the island has a diverse range of places to eat from Michelin-starred establishments to simple rural eateries serving up traditional dishes. And of course, just about every international cuisine is on offer in the island’s lively towns along with cool cocktail spots and buzzy beach bars. We highly recommend a meal in nearby Los Abrigos – seafood lovers will be enchanted by its harbourside restaurants. The lively promenade that connects Golf del Sur with the little San Blas neighbourhood is lined with restaurants and bars too. Not sure where to pick? Our friendly staff are always happy to share their favourite spots to eat – just ask for recommendations.

Tourist looking at clothes in a shop while on holiday

Looking to indulge in a little retail therapy while you’re on holiday? Tenerife is a top spot for sprucing up your holiday wardrobe. If you’re looking for clothes or accessories for a night out on the town, head along to Siam Mall in Costa Adeje. With its Thai-influenced architecture and vast selection of boutiques and high street stores as well as restaurants, bars and coffee shops it’s a zen like shopping experience. Beautiful and bustling capital Santa Cruz makes for a brilliant day out with plenty of well-known and independent stores where you’re bound to find something special to remember your holiday by. The island’s many markets are always wonderful to mosey around – selling everything from local crafts to fresh produce. Be sure to visit the San Miguel Farmers’ Market, held on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, to stock up your fridge with island-fresh tropical fruit and vegetables.
